Yearly exam
Our veterinarians will check your pet’s vital signs, weight, temperature, heart and respiratory rates, and more. They will also observe your pet’s general appearance, how they walk and stand, and whether they are alert.
Canine Vaccines
- Leptospirosis: This vaccine prevents bacterial infections in the kidneys, liver, and other organs. Dogs can get this disease from drinking contaminated water from wildlife.
- Rabies: This is a fatal disease that can not be cured. This vaccine is required by South Carolina State Law.
- Bordetella: This vaccine helps prevent the spread of germs that cause canine cough. It’s recommended for dogs that are often in social settings.
- Distemper, Adenovirus type 2 (hepatitis), Parvovirus, and Parainfluenza (DAPP or DHPP): Is given to puppies in three shots, and then annually to adult dogs.
- Lyme: Canine Lyme disease is caused by the Borrelia bacteria and transmitted through the bite of a tick.
Feline Vaccines
- Feline panleukopenia virus: FPV attacks cells that are rapidly growing and dividing, such as those in the lymph nodes, bone marrow, intestines, and developing fetuses.
- Feline viral rhinotracheitis also known as herpes virus type 1 (FHV-1): FVR can be spread through air, direct contact, saliva, eye and nasal secretions, and fomites. It has a two to five day incubation period and the virus is shed for one to three weeks after infection.
- Feline caliciviruses: Feline calicivirus is a virus that is an important cause of upper respiratory infections and oral disease in cats.
- Rabies virus: This is a fatal disease that can not be cured. This vaccine is required by South Carolina State Law.
- Feline leukemia virus (FeLV): FeLV is a tiny microorganism that can only replicate itself inside living cells and can cause a variety of diseases in addition to leukemia.

Our veterinarians will ask about your pet’s diet and make recommendations.
Dental exam
Our veterinarians will assess your pet’s dental health. Pets that are more prone to dental issues may need more frequent visits.
